Rooms and facilities

Our guest accommodation is in a separate cottage of 4 basic, mosquito free rooms adjacent to the house where we live. So our guests will get their own privacy and freedom there. All rooms have attached bathrooms with western toilets and running water. The tap water is not hot, but hot water is available from the house or by using a supplied water heater. Each room has its own entrance with veranda, and a natural garden in front with hammocks and swings.

Home made vegetarian, vegan and non vegetarian food, as per your requirements, is served in the main hall of our house. All the food is freshly made using organic and local produce whenever possible.

From the main house you can also access the Internet from our computer (broadband connection), use the phone, cable TV etc.

Our home is conveniently located for backwater cruises in and around Kumarakom and Alappuzha (Alleppey) by house boat, country boat, motor boat or even by very cheap Government ferry. You also have the opportunity to see snake boats (racing boats) and ancient churches and temples. Activities such as canoeing, fishing, bird watching, village tour, riding, sight seeing can easily be arranged.

We offer ayurvedic treatment and body massages, and we can arrange yoga classes, dental care and various treatments for a third of the western rate. We can also help you to buy spectacles and clothes etc. at a very cheap rate.
